If an XR view is intended for use by a single person, the layout and structure can be highly personalised as it only needs to make sense to that one individual.
If a space is intended for use by multiple users, be they sequential or co-present, more care is needed in how the space is presented. This affects both the initial presentation or how it is left after a session. One person’s constructive space is another’s chaos. Whilst such ‘chaos’ may have clarity and purpose for its maker, some explanation may be needed —either in or alongside the space—to help orient later users as to the intent of the display.
With co-presence, there is potential for the literal perspective of the environment to vary for of these present. If all users are present as avatars—visible to others in the space, their differing view/experience is more easily seen. In a first person view, unless the viewpoint is fixed, it is less easy to be sure each person sees exactly the same presentation.
