Before Headset
Initial Questions
- Have you used a headset before?
- How comfortable are you in a headset?
- Please note that we are working on this for when you need to do specific work, we are not suggesting people should be in the headset all day. We are thinking about this as a kind of a ‘thinking cap’, or like stepping up to think with a blackboard for a while.
- Please also note that this is open to modify and the code is open source.
In Headset
While Using (for each demo)
- What can you see?
- Can you do the following (task per demo)
At the conclusion of the XR demos we ask the following questions, while the subject is still in the headset:
General (in ‘final room’)
- How was the general experience?
- Was anything unclear or uncomfortable?
- What is missing for you to be able to author academic documents?
- Are there specific ways you’d like to see your information in this space?
Specifics (in ‘final room’)
- Do you prefer the neutral background or the virtual room?
- Did you find indicating the physical table in the virtual space useful?
- What was more comfortable for you, sitting or standing?
Dreams (in ‘final room’)
- When you are in this environment, what can you imagine what it can be like?
After headset
- Can you give suggestions as to who else we can show this to for feedback?
- Any other thoughts?
