This month’s project explores spatial authoring and XR-based knowledge environments. We use as a our example to spark dialog the spatial map in Author for visionOS.
Topics will include interactions for choosing what to select, what to view, how to arrange, how to show and hide and so on.
Further discussions are expected to include timelines, writing practices and the bigger question of how immersive systems might augment human thinking rather than replacing it.
We also asked what different kinds of annotations might mean on different kinds of knowledge objects. There is naturally a difference between annotating what is yours (your own notes) and that which you have acquired (academic papers, books etc.).
